Cogmatic is seeking a Production Team Member (PTM) who will have a cross functional set of responsibilities across our shop floor. This successful PTM will play a vital role in our customer experience and in the success of the company. Some of the functions include, but are not limited to, machine setup and operation, product assembly, overhead crane operation, welding, grinding, cutting, cleaning, induction heat treating, and packaging, among others as required, driving these responsibilities forward with initiative and dedication. In addition, properly trained PTM’s may operate fork trucks, perform machine maintenance, or assist with overall facility maintenance.

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6am – 4pm; Friday – 6am – 11am, with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct setups and performing machine operations
  • Perform basic machine maintenance
  • Interpret and read blueprints/drawings
  • Pick, pack, and ship completed orders
  • Perform quality inspections of products
  • Operate forklift and/or overhead cranes as needed
  • Maintain and keep updated records as needed
  • Collaborate with other Production Team Members, sharing best practices and procedures.
  • Contribute to a safe working environment for themselves and others by complying with company regulations & rules
  • Take care in the use of the company’s equipment and tools to extend useful life
  • Identify and report procedures or practices that could result in an unsafe environment
  • Properly maintain equipment within areas of responsibility & expertise
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Support Cogmatic’s ISO 9001:2015 based directives with a mindset towards quality
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
  • A desire to deliver highly skilled labor in a flexible working environment.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred
  • Ability to perform basic math and measurement skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to follow directions and a willingness to provide feedback.
  • Ability to contribute to a strong, team-based culture.
